Heute eher Teil der lokalen Folklore und Statussymbol in sch\u00f6nen G\u00e4rten.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Die schon zur Tradition gewordene und immer mit grossem Aufwand selber organisierte Weinreise f\u00fchrte mich in diesem Sommer nach Nordwest Spanien. Eine der wenigen spanischen Gebiete, wo ich noch nie war. Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr die Rundreise war die Pilgerstadt Santiago de Compostela.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Geografisch\/politisch: Galizien, Castilla-Le\u00f3n und Asturien<\/li>\n<li>Weinm\u00e4ssig: R\u00edas Baixas, O Rosal, Condado do Tea, Ribeiro, Valdehorras, Bierzo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In diesem Beitrag berichte ich \u00fcber den Weinbau in den R\u00edas. Sie sind den nordischen Fjorden \u00e4hnlich, also lange Meeresarme, die tief ins Land eindringen. An der westlichen Atlantikk\u00fcste Spaniens sind es von Nord nach S\u00fcd:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>R\u00eda de Muros y Noia<\/li>\n<li>R\u00eda de Arousa<\/li>\n<li>R\u00eda de Pontevedra<\/li>\n<li>R\u00eda de Vigo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Der weltber\u00fchmte Albari\u00f1o Weisswein gedeiht rund um die Stadt Cambados &#8211; 2017 die offizielle Weinhauptstadt Europas! Dort \u00fcbernachteten wir zwei mal und erlebten die Festa do Albari\u00f1o, wo alle Bodegas (oder Adegas wie sie auf Galizisch heissen) einen kleinen Pr\u00e4sentationsstand auf der Strasse haben und ihre Albari\u00f1os glasweise verkaufen, hautnah. Die Seitenpfeiler sind aus Granit und das Dach aus Metallrohren und Spanndr\u00e4hten. Urspr\u00fcnglich kamen die Galizier auf diese Anbauweise, weil sie Wein fast ausschliesslich f\u00fcr den Privatgebrauch im Garten anbauten. Mit der Pergola konnten sie auf dem Boden Gem\u00fcse pflanzen und auf dem Dach Wein. Obschon diese Methode arbeitsintensiv ist und keine Mechanisierung zul\u00e4sst, wird sie fast \u00fcberall weiter angewandt. Die grossen beeindrucken dann auch hier mit super modernen Einrichtungen und grosser Architektur. Das gef\u00e4llt mir halt \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Hier unten die aus meiner Sicht eindr\u00fccklichsten vier Weing\u00fcter von R\u00edas Baixas. Die Weine degustierten wir nur in den seltensten F\u00e4llen. Erstens reise ich nicht wegen des Weins an sich, sondern des Weinbaus &#8211; sprich Kulturlandschaft und Architektur und zweitens geniesse ich die besten Tropfen dann zu Hause in aller Ruhe und ohne Auto-Stress. Ist sozusagen die Weissweinabteilung der ber\u00fchmten Rioja Bodega Ram\u00f3n Bilbao.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Das Wetter war, wie man auf den Bildern sieht, durchmischt. Wenn die Sonne scheint warmfeucht und sonst auch mal neblig k\u00fchl. Genau das Programm, das Weisswein Trauben lieben. Und generell ist nat\u00fcrlich Galizien alles andere als wie sich der Badetourist Spanien vorstellt.
