Nur 30km n\u00f6rdlich von Jumilla folgt das St\u00e4dtchen Yecla mit Ihrer DO. Das letzte Gebiet auf der Reise, wo die Monastrell-Traube so dominiert. Obschon n\u00f6rdlicher, wirkte mindestens bei unserem Besuch diese Gegend am trockensten und wenigsten gr\u00fcn. Das Thermometer stieg auf genau 40\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Wohl eine der gr\u00f6ssten in Yecla ist die ganz moderne Bodega Barahonda, in der weiten Ebene gelegen. Sie produziert diverse rote und weisse Weine. Der beste, Heredad Candela<\/a> aus 100% Monastrell, ist in der Schweiz bei Coop erh\u00e4ltlich.<\/p>\n

Hier massen wir mit 40\u00b0C die h\u00f6chste Temperatur der Reise.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Spanien gliedert sich u.a. in 17 Autonome Regionen (Comunidades). Alle bisherigen Regionen dieser Reise (Bullas, Jumilla, Yecla) liegen in der Comunidad Murcia. Unweit von Yecla Richtung Osten kommt man in die Comunidad Valencia. Da sollen die „sagenumwobenen“ Estrecho de Pipa Weinfelder von Enrique Mendoza liegen, dem neuen Winzer-Star aus Benidorm. Nach fast stundenlangen Versuchen mit unserem nicht-gel\u00e4ndeg\u00e4ngigen Miet-Audi auf Feldwegen gelang es mir schliesslich, die GPS Koordinaten 38.601836, -0.985485 von der Sierra Salina Seite her zu erreichen. Und siehe da: die gr\u00fcnen Felder waren da. Las Mortillas nennt sich die in gottverlassenem Gebiet stehende Ranch nebenan. Die riesigen Rebenfelder sind alle eingez\u00e4unt und mit Bew\u00e4sserungsschl\u00e4uchen versehen. Und es hoppelten unmittelbar vor uns dutzende Wildhasen herum. Ich kann es nicht beschw\u00f6ren, dass ich da den Ursprung meines im Keller liegenden Estrecho Weines<\/a> gefunden habe, denn es war alles kilometerweise menschenleer, aber ich bin mir so gut wie sicher.<\/p>\n
