Als spanische Levante bezeichnet man die K\u00fcstenregion zwischen Valencia und Cartagena. Hier w\u00e4chst zwar schon seit langer Zeit Wein, aber der wurde vorwiegend im Lande selbst zu sehr tiefen Preisen konsumiert. Heute gibt es da aufstrebende Bodegas, die mit Qualit\u00e4t und Export gute Gesch\u00e4fte machen. Die Gebiete liegen im Hinterland der K\u00fcste in Richtung der zentralen spanischen Hochebene La Mancha, welche eine eigene grosse Weinregion bildet. Sie tragen allesamt den Namen des jeweiligen Ortes. Vorherrschend ist die Monastrell Traube, die hier vorwiegend als Buschrebe erzogen wird.
